    • This ^ is the correct answer
    • Stick. But I am speaking as a Moonwatch owner and the SR is very similar. Classic configuration, no date. Leaving the date out, the other one still has two things I’m not keen on: panda dial and 6–9–12 configuration.
    • I was all set to get a grail of mine, a speedy reduced, no date dial, the black bezel, all good and ready to go.... ....but then, whilst checking there were no other better deals available, I stumbled upon this..... ....I'm now in a quandary. My head says "stick with the watch you planned and have wanted for a long time", but another part of me is shouting "haha, panda pretty". I like that the panda is a little different, and don't mind that it has a date (there's already 3 white circles, what does a little white square matter?). Should I stick or twist?
    • Spinnaker for me today, a firm favourite in the collection:
    • Strap change day ! I have had the Mercer Brigadier on a black leather/suede strap with white stitching since getting the watch. Ordered a cheap rubber strap with curved ends (sub £10 with four pins and a tool for removing the bars) just to see how it looks. On removing the leather strap I found it was starting to tear at one of the lugs so good job I did. I know I have corrosive sweat so probably best to stay away from leather and stick to bracelets and rubber in the future (well except at the weekends when this is the norm ). Anyway, had to slightly bend the bars as the lug holes are fairly close to the main case but it is on and not bad at all, not a perfect fit but perfectly passable for a garden/garage beater. To my surprise the Mercer butterfly clasp fitted great which was a bonus. Before After, not a perfect fit but I can live with it for less than a tenner, looks like it was designed for Rolex Sub style lugs (may get one navy for the Invicta at some point). May have a firkle later and see if I can get it to sit a little better. Clasp, excuse the desk rash !
