Suppose I still count as a "new guy" Easter Sunday . . . . . . Huitième Chrono -- even though I do not intend to time anything today (just as I haven't in the twenty-five years I've owned this piece).14 points

Swatch 'solo dark night'. 40mm, so simple, honest and unpretentious; that it ends up being completely self aware and therefore pretentious. Or does it? Can't but like this for its easy going simplicity. It manages to write the word Swiss bold on the dial and it just looks so so cool next to Swatch. You might only truly understand if your mid teen years were slap bang in the middle of the 1980s. This is just so perfect for a city trader in chinos a polo shirt popping to play golf in his black or her black porsche 911 turbo LE. I mean a 18ct Rolex would just be showy and naff. Wow! I didn't go to bed yet, obvs, but I have this on (old pic from my SOTC)... Timex Sprite - 1975 / 76 I could do a pair of these actually ... although this one has a wonky minute hand that has been known to foul the second hand. But when I lume it, that will get fixed too. The other is a bit nicer with box and papers from Scott (on the black strap currently, but I ordered a blue 70s rally strap for it tonight) , but I don't wear it much - the brown strap one is my beater! But here they are together ...7 points

That's a nice compliment! Appreciated. I like the Rolex too, but as a quartz guy first and foremost (due to OCD accuracy affliction) this one is better for me. I`m being a well balanced individual this morning with this pair...
