  8. Citizen 8110 bullhead automatic, no idea what day it is lol (Friday at a guess). I'm sure there must be a quick set for the day, and to bring up the english, but going for a service soon anyway. HAGD how very ... "convenient"!

  9. Picked this up for a couple of quid in our local flea market. Some kind of pseudo chronograph....the pushers stop and start the complete movement.

  10. Morning dull morning here, which needs brightening up. Rotary 'Les Originales Legacy' (Cal: SW200-1) I keep saying that too, but somebody always posts a link to another sale and another bargain, I wish they would stop it.

  12. This 70s(?) ‘SuperSwiss’ for me this afternoon. And as much as it pains me, I haven’t changed the date, as it doesn’t have a quickset, and would rather not speed wind it through 20odd days.

  14. Starting off with the twins... ALMIRANTE Navegante (Crepas/Tactico Group, Spain) Seiko Cal. NH38A, 24 Jewels Btw, the bracelet is aftermarket, the strap is the original supplied with these watches & if anyone is wondering why I have two of them it`s because one went missing soon after I bought it & despite a search of the house it couldn`t be found. I eventually came to the conclusion it had somehow been accidentally thrown away & bought another, naturally the original turned up a few days later

  15. Morning all, finally getting a step closer to getting the house sorted after the floods in Feb lol .. so sorting out the ground floor came across the box for my 007 !! Bracket and a solid end link bracelet as wel back on the watch where it belongs

  16. Morning, Today this Gigandet, a brand first registered by Charles Gigandet in 1963. This one wears much slimmer than its 7mm would suggest and runs on a 17j Peseux 330. I’m trying to un-remember reading of an alleged connection with Breitling and Wakmann and am not remotely tempted to peek into any rabbit holes so labelled, no matter how enticing they may seem. Regards.

  24. To "quickset" my 8110's I set the time after 3 but before 9 am/pm pull the crown out to first stop and press the right pusher to change the day and use the crown to change the date. From memory, mine are all in English now, the one that arrived set to non- English day was sorted by this method. Good luck hopefully the service will sort the date position out as well.

  25. Not perfect, but given the volume of one star reviews it is an strong indicator of poor service. If a rival is targeting your business by leaving false reviews you can complain to Trustpilot to have them investigated. They have also taken measures to stop sudden bulk reviews (they can be bought online) and they value confirmed reviews far higher - my customers are invited by Trustpilot to leave a review automatically if they buy something, so those are verified reviews

  30. Quirky vintage Seiko quartz today, this 0903-5009 from August 1974..... A better picture of the dial..... Probably one of Seiko's earliest attempts at a 'Snowflake' dial, three years before the Grand Quartz sported it.....

  33. Been out for lunch twice this week two totally different experiences. The first place we sat outside was very relaxed and relied on the customers for social distancing, order at the bar, wasn’t that busy so very relaxed. Food brought to the tables. More drinks picked up from the bar. Today. table inside and they were big on social distancing. Table service, Waitress kept her distance the entire time, Drinks, cutlery and condiments were bought on a tray and put on table for us to remove before the tray was taken away, card machine at the end was placed on the table in a similar f

  34. This what you need, you might need a bigger shed though. This was only a few small digger axle support plates I did, 27mm holes with a HSS twist drill but on some jobs with a carbide insert u-drill it can punch up to 75/85mm holes through three or four inches of solid steel blocks.

  36. Interest free is like a free dinner. The finance company aren't a charity, Earnest Jones ain't being that earnest about 'Interest Free' The watch you're looking for will be cheaper elsewhere...at least by the cost of the finance that Earnest Jones are hiding within the retail price.

  40. Well the bracelet is resized, I've got a slotted watch block which helped and after struggling with the first screw I opted for the hair dryer. Worked a treat and now the bracelet fits perfectly. Thank you for the tip! https://www.flickr.com/photos/189345369@N06/shares/A71Cb7
