  3. Good morning, will be seeing my son later, he is a big de Grasse Tyson fan and likes to bombard my mother's phone with YouTube clips to keep her up to date with the latest developments in understanding how the universe works. And this 'Russian speedmaster' is one of the methods I use, to animate him sufficiently to expand his communication with me beyond the 'thumbs' up emoji. Cal. 3017 column wheel chronograph. HAGD

  4. I’ll shortly be nodding off to the gentle tick of great-grandad’s pocket watch. See you all at a civilised hour in the afternoon. Thomas Russell 10j circa 1910 Night night

  5. Morning, Under cover of darkness when hopefully no one is looking, today it’ll be this seldom-worn Kama, possibly from the 1950s and bearing what looks like the stamp of the Vostok factory. Also featuring an almost pristine dial, carefully-matched hands, and a 17j Raketa 2603 which is nowhere close to being regulated off the scale. And nowhere close to ever having been serviced. Obviously wearing my beer glasses at the time, this was bought some years ago from Moldova for £1.24 and, yes, I know I overpaid. Mind you, it does work, which I suppose is always something. Regards.

  15. @Jet Jetski More train spotting this morning, this old yard is just along the road, they have a collection of old shunters which I’m guessing they will be from the now defunct blast furnace steel works which is just over the Tees Bay at Redcar. I keep meaning to pop in when it’s open and ask about them. A bit dull this morning so not a great shot but the old steel works is off to the left of the picture. LV again as per and I beat the Drax train this morning, post lockdown fitness is getting better by the day.

  38. Yep correct, a real one and not an overpriced Micky Mouse copy from another manufacturers with no R&D, no budget, no design team and no original ideas. I suppose from a distance some blind people might be fooled by them.
