  11. Average rate deviation over last month -0.2 secs per day. I don't wear it always and my Citizen lives on the winder, so it does flag when the spring is low, but a quick hand-wind and dial-up overnight soon brings it into line. That's a tip I learned from Rolex. Enjoy your Friday. J

  18. Unusually for me, I've decided to have a change, and swapped to this lovely Fossil: I was looking through my collection to try and pick out one or two that could possibly be sold, after receiving an email this morning from ebay with a max £1 selling fee offer, and this Fossil chrono caught my eye. I bought it new a while ago from the Fossil Outlet Store in Austria , and have rarely worn it since. I'm still undecided, as now I'm wearing it I realise it looks ace on the wrist

  19. Morning, 1950s German-made PARA by Paul Raff of Pforzheim. This one runs on a Felsa 4000 extravagantly bejewelled with 41 and with a Reed’s “swan’s neck” micro regulator. Regards.

  28. Still the Suunto Ambit Peak 3 I got last week from my stepdaughter - it's huge but very comfortable to wear & I like it However my wife unearthed her old Ellesse auto (ETA2824 I think) so I'm seeing what the timekeeping's like with a view to using the movement in another watch, however (apart from the bracelet which is hideous) I think it's probably a bit too nice for that Have a good weekend all

  31. Long thread. Lots of pics. I'm in the mood to treat myself to another watch. But apart from the obvious issue of what I really do want v what I can really afford, another problem is the watches I fancy that aren't available to buy in Thailand. In the past, I have had reasonable success with buying on-line. Initially in the UK, where I bought from within the UK and from Switzerland without any problems and then when I was in Thailand. The first was a cheap Seiko 5 from Singapore - this one in fact (I have no idea of the reference No.): This should have been an absolute banker for

  32. That strap looks familiar! What should come through my letterbox but a packet from @Bonzodog with not only this strap, which I had commented on previously, but a bonus strap ideal for my Citizen: The O & W strap is now waiting for an incoming Vostok from The Ukraine. Thanks again, and thanks @Roy for running such a smashing forum (and the mods, except the crazy ones, you know who you are! ) facilitating nice things for fellow watch nuts in trying times. J

  33. Changed into this because @Bonzodogsent me a couple of watch straps, so a big thanks, and this is perfect for the Citizen. I'll showcase the other one on the postman thread - after my next Teams meeting, oh lord. Thanks @Bonzodog

  39. What I find interesting in the "homage discussion" is the perceived hypocrisy of selective criticism I have witnessed. A Chinese homage will draw some serious put downs, whereas, something with a Miyota movement and a British name will draw admiration. A homage is a homage surely ?
