  1. In my humble, one of the best looking chronograph watches of recent years The Farer Eldridge dial is a colour called chocolate silk, but the added blue and the strong hands really help. If you haven't seen a Farer watch up close then i do recommend trying to. I was very impressed with a three hander I had, and delighted with this one

  2. New arrival, Zelos 39mm 'Lunar Frost' full lume field watch, with screw crown, screw-link bracelet with sliding ratchet clasp for quick adjust, quick release solid end links, domed box sapphire crystal, slides under a cuff but goes over just as nicely, if you have already been sewn into your winter underwear. OK I admit it I went under my blankets to check the lume Umm... yeah, just going back under my blankets! HAGD

  9. Well, my plans to reduce the collection were coming along nicely, with 8 sold in the past week so far. But then the inevitable happened, and I couldn't help myself........... This one has been on my radar for a few years, and when a couple of them came up on ebay I just had to pull the trigger. Ladies and gentlemen, I present for your viewing pleasure... the mighty Bulova Precisionist 98B166: It's a pretty big lump of metal, at around 45mm, and quite heavy as well, but it sit's nicely on my 7.5" wrist. My photo hasn't really captured the finish very well, so you can't see the carbon

  16. This little bit of joy a 1981 Pulsar. These were every where in the 80s. But like most cheap popular watches had a hard life. This is a rare mint survivor. Bought for 15 quid off the bay. I think I saved it, as I expect most bidders were just after a cheap watch to wear to death, which would have been a shame. I think this was taken to be a modern watch that could be flogged. It reminds me of one of those museums or TV programmes 'the way we were'. Where people look aghast at things they had that were common place, like the dolly tub, or yellow stone for the step. 24. Great engines i had a legend with the 3.5 on an s reg and 2 of the rare 3.0 accord coupes. I got all 3 for 1800 quid. And I prefered the legend to the s class merc i got. It was only £825 off a car lot in sheffield, the seller was an arthur daly clone in a boiler suit with tattos and one eye. A really honest bloke "fresh out of strange ways and just trying to make a honest quid mate"...in his words.

  26. Thanks Nigel, it has an ETA 2788, which is dates from 1969-82, it also has Patents Pending called SHAPEPROOF on and inside and the back-case with numbers. I always meant to research, but never got round to it. My guess with case style and TV Dial is early 1970's

  29. Back up and running now. Had to wait about 90 minutes for the tyre replaced. Huge bolt embedded in it, not repairable so brand new tyre on. Working nights tonight, it's a lorry I am driving Nigel!

  37. A bit of old bling now. You dont see many of these anymore. Its a 1981 large P Pulsar. Just after Seiko bought them from Zenith. Cal y563. Its the sort of watch I remember in most shops in the 80s and clearly nicks off the Rolex not just in its President style bracelet. Its a rattly old thing really and the crown doesnt flush, but its fun and keeps pretty good time. Ive not looked at it for a month and its only 20 seconds off the twin quartz! Not bad for almost 40 years old. It was the condition that got me, it has been worn, but someones obviously loved this are the bracelet was clean and its

  38. Reunited !!! They say knock yourself out so I did. I was sorting my fire out and putting up some new outdoor lights later yesterday afternoon ready for a bit off disco dancing in the garden and according to Big M I slipped and fell back into the plant pots smashing one with my head. The first thing I knew about it was coming round with paramedics wiring me to the mains. Carted off in an ambulance still a bit dizzy and concussed then in A&E getting poked, prodded, scanned and tested and minus my LV, at that point I still wasn’t even sure what was going on.
