Great watch, I too am thinking that I am not so much on the slippery slope as flying off the deep end at full speed! I started off trying to flip watches I had acquired two of. 6 months later ... Anyway, back to work, here is a scarcity (in my collection anyway), not rare when they were made by the million, but a civilian Sturmanskie that has survived in reasonably original vintage condition AFAICT. Semi quick-set date works fine, it does squeak when I wind it, so maybe a service is due! Obviously if I get any fatter I will need to Frankenise the bracele11 points

Good morning. Old picture as its too dark to take one today. I have come to the conclusion I might have a watch addiction.11 points

I tried on a watch earlier this year that I didn't buy for the reason that I had the distinct feeling that it would be detrimental to the rest of my collection in that I would probably wear it over just about anything else. Moving on, I went out for a walk yesterday, and whilst taking care to socially distance, I tripped and fell into a jewellers shop, and on my way down I accidentally grabbed hold of the display stand and the very watch became lodged on my wrist. The shop assistant, in shock, helped me up and inadvertently removed my wallet from my pocket, which miraculously had exactly t9 points

Can someone please share their ideas about which would be a better option to buy? i am equally inclined towards both of them and I am confused as to go with which option, it will be my first luxury watch so your views will be helful to me.2 points

Both of these watches make reference in their design to classic types from the past but I would go with the Rado. It makes its statement boldly whereas the Longines, to me personally, is a bit "mealy-mouthed" as to its real character.2 points

... And there, Your Honour, the case for the Defendant rests. Your explanation is completely and utterly plausible. The TWF Jury finds you innocent of all charges. You are free to leave this Courtroom without a blemish on your character. Just, don't do it again .2 points

Now that, I do like. CW have been producing some really cracking watches lately .2 points

Yema Rallygraf. Not really loved it since it arrived in the summer, but just swapped the brown leather strap for a Geckota Rally strap I picked up in their sale. Still not overwhelmed but It appeals more. Picked mine out but decided against it, just as well!2 points

This basic form of ornate dial and hands design frequently occurs on small mechanical clocks and pocket watches which seem to mainly date to the 1970s+. As spinynorman has just indicated, this type of design is found under many brand names, not all of them readily traceable to a particular watch/clock company.1 point

There's a couple of similar watches on Ebay, one branded Josmar, the other VeriWatch, both on sale from Italy. It looks like a package that was commonly rebranded and unlikely to be anything to do with the Summit brand we're discussing here.1 point

I'm kind of in favour of this as long as members benefit from preferential rates..1 point

Changed the watch band. The original strap that comes with the watch looks cool but it is really uncomfortable to wear so I changed it to the strap I had on my Cronos watch. That watch came with 2 straps,a rubber one that is now on my Invicta 8928ob and a suede one that I put back on the Cronos1 point
