  16. Luckily the watch got a double like from me, so it was still left with one, after a deduction for the little drummer boy. "The ox and lamb kept time ..." Meanwhile, a little clarity for a dark day, this interests me for many reasons, among them being the diameter of the movement, given that the date window is fully thirty yards from the centre of the watch. HAGD and a lovely Crimbo. J

  17. Very strange atmosphere in central London today. Quiet, with nothing open except the odd M&S and café, but enough people about to make it feel almost 'normal'. And I still couldn't get any Christmas crackers? Has there been a national shortage? Anyway, I wore the Tutima and took the pic on Southbank.

  25. Quick change for the afternoon, much slower to sync than the GPS eco-drive, which, when forced, syncs in seconds (unless you ask it to do a position fix too). This takes a few minutes before you get the 'OK'. It is a good idea to keep them on a north facing window ledge, because that means you free up a space in your watch box for yet another watch. I suppose I should celebrate Brexit by chucking out my favourite shirt ... J

  27. Merry Christmas to all - it's been a pretty lousy year (understatement!) so huge thanks to Roy for the forum. As others have said it's a fantastically friendly & knowledgeable forum. If I didn't visit daily my days just would not be the same & whilst working from home (& whilst at work it must be said) it's been the place I go to relax & to escape work, risk assessments, Covid & Covid related matters. I wish Roy & all the forum members a Merry Christmas & an infinitely better, & healthy, new year Thanks all

  42. Best wishes to all. This has become just about the only forum I frequent these days, which is mostly due to time, but also that many other places have shifted towards facebook. I'm always entertained/amazed/treated with respect here which is a testament to the people and mods. Merry Christmas (or have a nice break if you don't celebrate), keep well and roll on 2021
