  10. Hope all goes well for you. What a stunner Did you (as I have done in the past) end up taking an 'arty angled photo' because any photo where you see the date without being dead square on just makes it feel like the magnifier ruins the shot? Still waiting on something very similar to drop through the door for my big week of incoming, should have arrived by Wednesday. This morning I'm gonna inflicta Invicta on you fine people.

  11. It's the mighty Bulova Precisionist for me today: I bloomin' love this one, and it gets regular wear since I fitted the soft rubber Nixon strap Off to Papworth hospital soon to return the heart rate recorder from yesterday - A nice 1 hour drive in my beloved Porsche, I can put up with that

  21. As I'm pottering in the garden and doing chores, I grabbed one of my work day watches, a pre-owned Seiko 5 from 1991. I ended up (unintentionally) buying 2 of these the same, in lots on the bay - one a bit battered (this one) but with everything - box and papers and receipt etc. Another one in pristine un-worn condition, but with no history (that one cost much less too - and in my defence, the photo was so bad, I thought it was a different colour variant). This one gets worn for everyday, although it isn't quite as battered in wear as it looks. Photo not taken today - I do have the day/date correct - I do have some standards.

  26. Thanks! Back in those days I used to enter the Benson and Hedges fly tying championships which was very demanding, great fun though ... I still like to get out occasionally and thrash the water with the odd rendition that I've knocked up, and I always think that the Dynamic goes with the style.

  31. So, here goes the little Timex Waterbury sporting this seasons top picks in an 18mm diameter, courtesy of @alxbly spring-summer 2021 collection. Some great options there, I rather like the red and blue NATO which I dare say I would not have tried off of my own back and might just be the preferred wrist wear of this little fella for the foreseeable. In other news, I managed to butcher two spare clasps to get a good fit on the FCW (French Cake Watch) to do away with the piddly butterfly, and it is now both much easier to put on and far more comfortable to wear.

  38. Two wooden watch boxes (6 cushions each), one Wolf watch roll (three spaces) and a pair of Wolf winders. 17 spaces on all, and I have fifteen watches. Getting tight. However, as I am aspiring to be at the sixth age of WISery, watches will now be coming in only as and when good things come up on the used market. (blue moon occurrences), it may well be a year or two before I need another box. As you may have gathered, nothing I currently have will be sold. .

  39. Not watch related, but this rather smart tiny (for the time) Art Deco styled battery valve radio.... As seen in the 1948 film 'Red Shoes'........ And before anyone asks, yes I bought it...........(complements it's slightly younger sister, the P20B, that I've had for about 25 years and only just restored...)

  40. I love this watch. It's always a treat to see it pop up on WOTD Omega Speedmaster Reduced 3510.50.00 However I had an absolute left/right moment this morning and set it for 3 rather than 9? Nearly there.....
