    Seagull 1969

Hello I have a Seagul 1969 that i have worn every day for the past 5 years and it has started getting unreliable. I could hear a rattling and When i took the back off (Unscrewed the glass back part) what looked like half a screw (Split down the shaft, not sheared off) fell out - i am very certain as it was blued like the rest of the internal screws. some weeks it will keep perfect time for days, others it will stop constantly or run slow. Can you help? or advise where i can get it repaired? its well beyond my abilities.
  3. can anyone recommend anyone to do a service on my 1963? Its been my daily wear for 3 years and has a pretty hard life in terms of being swung around and knocked for 10-12 hours a day in my active job but is in relatively good condition, although its just started randomly stopping or slowing down. Any and all advice is much appreciated.
  4. Hey everyone! I usually try to document my watch / clock projects in photos and then post on the forum, its quite time consuming (no pun intended) so i have started doing Video's instead! anyway - i have some watch projects coming up soon but in the mean time i am trying to document projects i have done in the past. i am going to try to keep the video's short and make them as informative as possible - if anyone has any questions about these then please stick a reply in the comments on here or on YouTube and i will answer as best as i can! - and even better if you have any sugg

  7. a quick print to test it out looks a bit rough because i have not touched it up with sandpaper as its only a test copy, printed fine except the smallest rocket fins were too small for the printing program to translate into G-Code, bit of tweaking in size should sort that out. the larger rocket gets a bit lumpy at the top as its got a bit too much material inside so i need to thin it out and speed up the printer and stick the cooling fans on so the plastic does not sag under the heat of the print head on it while its getting the top part finished. all the gold parts are one piece (Sol
  8. they are great, but you have to spend a week or two learning how to make your own designs - otherwise, they are rubbish because you can only print what other people have designed.
  9. Or a more general USSR / CCCP stand for any vintage Russian watch
  10. my mate is into his Vostok watches and i am going to 3D print him a Vostok watch stand for Christmas, what's you guys opinion on this design? anything you would add or remove or change?
  11. well i dont have $560 lying around to buy one of these so i made my own version. its not actually a nixie its a Numitron (an early incarnation of the 7 segment LED display) only just finished it yesterday, battery lasts 20 hours with the LED's on and a day and a half with them off, case is printed on my 3D printer and not yet finished. it looks real cool at night, shame the camera cant cope with the brightness so you cant really tell.
  12. i have this watch in black, I run a restaurant in a big hotel so its always on show to a few hundred people a night if i have it on (putting plates down in front of people and serving drinks etc) and i have to say at least once in the night someone will comment "oh the tips must be good here for you to have a watch like that!" - to be honest, its never let me down and always keeps good time the only bad thing is i once dropped it and the glass came off but it was easily pressed back in - it has some weight to it as well so it does not feel as cheap as the other Chinese ones. although out o
  13. Finished! i just need to mess about with the weight, pendulum and maybe file down some of the teeth depending on how well it runs. the winding ratchet is very stiff too at the moment, that's what you see me trying to wind at the beginning. the Cuckoo is from my other clock, not this one! At the moment i have it going off a cuckoo clock weight that's quite small and the pendulum is hitting it so that's the starting point for improvement.
  14. and ANOTHER but this time i have been trying to learn how to use Eagle to build the layout, and etch my PCB
