  1. I agree, the shop were very helpful and I didn't bring up the fact that I thought the watch was fake, I just said that I had changed my mind. It did feel bad quality though, so I think I made the right decision buying the Tissot. They have some great looking Longines watches there from Longines' current lines with pretty good discounts so I may even go back in the future. Thanks Henry
  2. Out of interest have you ever heard of shops mixing fake watches in with real watches?
  3. I'm almost 100% sure that it isn't fake after visiting the shop again. I had a chat with him but didn't mention the authenticity, I swapped the watch for a Tissot watch that looks better quality but is cheaper and he gave me a refund for the difference. I'll let you know if/when I hear back from Longines/Swatch group about the photos I sent them.
  4. Oh bloody hell, not sure I want to risk that, I think I'm just going to return it and see what the guy says! How would they prove the authenticity? The guy seemed to get quite upset when I questioned the authenticity yesterday. I showed him my Longines Master Collection and he showed me that he had that there as well and that was identical...
  5. If I take it to an authorised dealer and they do deem it to be fake they can't take it off me or anything can they?
  6. Yep that's very interesting, and you look to have hit the nail on the head. Thanks so much for your help, I shall take it back tomorrow and will post back with what he has to say for himself!
  7. Yep I think I will take it back after thinking about it, as you're right in that it does look cheap, and I was just tempted by the name as I have a Longines watch and wanted it for her to match.
  8. I'm worried to open it incase I damage it, as if it is fake then I will be taking it back for a refund tomorrow. Would it damage the watch to open the back?
  9. Hmm, well I paid £295 for it and I did ask the Jeweller if it was genuine as my Longines cost way more than that. But I thought as it was discontinued and "new old stock" it should be real. I'd be amazed if a shop in Hatton Garden could get away with selling fake watches. I had my doubts once I searched for the watch though, I feel sick now! I do know what you mean. Do you know if Longines ever sold watches around the £500 mark?
  10. Hi there I bought a Longines watch from a seller in Hatton Garden, he has said the watch was discontinued, although I’m unable to find it online. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me find out a bit more about the model? The two photos are here: Thanks very much
