  2. There are a couple of Epperleins appeared on ebay, something unusual with no mention on here for seven or eight years :- White Dial Black Dial Will be interesting to see how much they go for.
  3. For anyone who would like an ElectroChron for their own collection there is one on Catawiki at the moment, its standing at 1€, located in USA (as it would seem are the majority of interesting electronic watches), and closes in 8 days.
  4. You could try :- greg@woodlandtechnical.co.uk He is sorting out an Accutron, a Lip, and a Hamilton for me at the moment.
  5. These Swiss cased 214's were known as a "hidden space view", they came with a reflector/chapter ring so that if the customer wanted to convert to a spaceview the dial could simply be removed and a spacer fitted. It was also necessary to change the crystal and probably the hands, which in the case of your watch doesn't seem to have been done. If you google images for Swiss hidden space view it will throw up pictures of the various dial and hand variations marketed.
  6. Minsk is the capital of Belarus, nowadays they would be very upset to be identified as part of Russia, although they might have been when these watches were made.
  7. If the seller uses the customs & tracking service from USA then its approx plus 25% which although expensive does save you the pain of, in some cases, having to pay the UK post office more in charges than you are paying in tax. italy is quite a good source for accutrons on eBay, I know their postal service has an abysmal reputation but I've had no problems with the two or three items I've bought from there. Timex watches seem fairly plentiful in Germany, who knows why ? And of course France is the best source for All things Lip.
  8. If you are looking for an everyday wearer I'd suggest either the accutron 218 or the Lip 148/184 ranges. Both offer a wide range of styles from the exotic to the elegant, and, fingers crossed seem very reliable and accurate. eBay is your friend but be wary of any condition descriptions for the Lip from French sellers, I've had some real disappointments.
