  1. been offered a rotary avenger watch for £16 orig box etc papers, described as needing new battery , what do you think? , im always weary of needing new battery descriptions , i always think why havent you fitted one
  2. im looking for a cheapy everyday watch on about a 36-40mm that's not on a metal bracelet , so either mesh strap, nylon, (not rubber ) or traditional leather type , im assuming il only get quartz for the money , ive seen a kanuoxi , that looks like a Seiko 5 I quite like at £9.49 , anyone else any suggestions under £20
  3. any one know how much they were new , not so much a limited edition as they made a fair few but it has a number on the back no25981/26750
  4. never had a sturmanskie , seemed ok for £40 delivered right hand chrono is between 2 and 3 o clock position
  5. think ive sussed it left hand chrono seems to be moving when the seconds dial is moving ,
  6. bottom pusher certainly is returning dial to 12 o clock position and top pusher starts 2nd hand , but top pusher dosent seem to be starting left hand chrono the left hand chrono seems to be moving though , so the left hand chrono might be moving every 60 secs the right hand chrono dosent seem to be doing much
  7. e bay pre owned but why aren't any dials moving to show a seconds ticking action
  8. just bought a sturmanski space pioneer quartz chrono vk64 3354851 , £40 inc postage , and im confused about its workings , as I understand it the top pusher , starts the second hand timer , but the watch is working while no other chronograph dials are moving , so in theory if the second hand is in the stationary position and the 2 small chrono dials are also not moving the watch still keeps time , I thought a quartz watch had to have one dial moving to show its working I think its a Seiko movement
  9. I don't ask for much in life , ill never be rich, ill never win the lottery, bills keep coming, so imagine my joy when my neighbour just took in my rotary watch I ordered , a £20 beauty new strap pretty near pristine condition , I cant wait to open the package , carefully cutting just the last inch off the sealed padded envelope , to reveal ………..oh no the seller put the watch in corner to corner with the watch strap flat , yep you guessed it ive just cut through the last inch of the strap and the last 2 adjustment holes , I don't ask for much in life , now ive got a strap with a 45 degre
  10. it sure is and im unable to be cured , just ordered a rotary sports watch for £20 posted its the one that looks like the breitling colt , everyone seems to do one lorus pulsar etc , just loved it seemed to be in nearly mint condition …………..nurse
  11. I totally agree sir , I love the breitlings they seem to get such a slating some of the models but I love em , , I dream of buying a colt for under £500 ah well we can all dream
  12. I know that title dosent really make sense , but if you was a watch collector who could afford anything , as a lower price entry watch that was well respected what would you buy , im a novice but the rolex air king came to mind , but that's just my very inexperienced guess , or a tudor perhaps or grand Seiko . im trying to imagine with the millions of watches to buy what a watch collector would know was a safe bet say under £2500
  13. just came across this brand while searching the bay , and wondered where it slotted in quality wise , ie lower to mid or mid to higher quality , or poor to lower , any help would be very welcome thank you , seen an open heart one that's quite nice
