I've recently returned to watch wearing after a watchless gap of 20-30 years. Working as a sheet metal/ pattern maker for many years plus an avid
diy'er /gardener in my spare time meant the watch was off more than on although I've been office bound the last 10 years or so.
At our last xmas family gathering my wife remarked that I was the only one in the room not wearing a watch, (she always has) and I should get
a new one! The old Avia from my youth no longer fits my aged wrist (200mm) so I've picked up a few quartz watches that I liked the look of rather
than research their internals. Also latterly purchased a couple of autos (Seiko & Invicta) which I'm very happy with. Aspirations ? ideally a Shogun
but that's way bigger than my budget, maybe Orient XL or similar. I'm sure you guys can in inspire me to the right choices.
I hope my missus knows what she's started.......
