  1. Many thanks. I very gingerly tried pushing one out & it immediately started moving. Pins it is ! All done & dusted. Many thanks for the reply.
  2. Does anybody know which method Longines use to connect the links on the above as I need to remove a couple of links on my wife's new watch. They look like minute screws but a search of youtube would indicate that they are not screws but are friction pins that need pushing out. I've sent off for a pusher tool but don't want to exert too much force in case they are actually screws. Many thanks in advance.
  3. Yep, the very same. Brilliantly wonky. Rumble fish.
  4. Many thanks. I'm in !
  5. Yes it came with a bracelet but as Bob said above, the centre links are polished and it looks bloody awful imo. It's a shame that Strapcode don't do a Super Oyster with curved end links for it but as I quite like NATO'S, it's not a problem.
  6. Just bought the black version ( SNE 437 ) and awaiting a luminous ceramic bezel insert & Zuludiver strap to arrive. Lovely watch.
  7. I haven't landed on this thread from any of the above though, I found this thread because i'm after a Divex & this thread was one of many that popped up.
  8. Yes. Is it not allowed then ?
  9. I'd put a £20 Casio above a Rolex for dependability if my experience of overpriced crap is anything to go by. :-(
  10. I loved reading this as i've was looking at a SKX 007 until I discovered Divex watches on here. The movement in the Seiko is far from the best & the chapter ring fitment on some of them ( on non-Japan made versions ) seem to have been fitted by Stevie Wonder. Given the price differential between the two, it's got to be a Divex. Can't seem to decide between the 200M & the 500M though. Decisions, decisions....... So glad I found this forum though.
  11. I'm not a Rolex knocker either but unfortunately the only time i've spent serious money on a watch, it was a Rolex and it turned out to be complete crap. Back in 1987 my father passed away & left me a little money. As he'd always wanted a GMT Master, I bought one new from a Rolex main agent. It gained 10 seconds a day from new so I sent it to Rolex HQ in Bromley or Bexley ( can't remember which ) & they returned it and it then gained 6 seconds a day. I sent it straight back asking them to try a bit harder & their reply was that they couldn't get it any better as it was automatic.
  12. That certainly is a big gap under there. Mine looks nothing like that. Is that a standard NATO or RAF style ? ( RAF only has 1 strap underneath & not 2. ) Mind you, my wrist actually has a dip from too many years of watch wearing so the watch kind of sinks in if that makes sense. At the moment i'm debating whether to get the 200 or 500m Divex & really can't make my mind up. It'll be put on a NATO or Zuludiver straight away though - it's a no-brainer. Are these watches really as good as everybody is saying as they would seem to be the bargain of the century.
  13. Nothing wrong with Rolex ? It gained 10 seconds a day from new so I sent it to Rolex HQ in Bromley or Bexley ( can't remember which ) & they returned it and it then gained 6 seconds a day. I sent it straight back asking them to try a bit harder & their reply was that they couldn't get it any better as it was automatic. Silly me - I presumed that the words on the dial " Superlative Chronometer " meant that it would keep time. Shortly after, the triangular pointer on the end of the red hand fell off, jamming the second hand against the minute hand. Back it went again. After about 18 mo
  14. Good evening all. Found this forum as i've always been interested in watches and i'm currently after info on a cheap divers watch. I was thinking of a Seiko SKX 007 but have discovered these gems from Divex & I have to say that they would appear to knock spots off the Seiko. ( No doubt i'm about to be slaughtered for that comment. ) Having previously owned a Rolex GMT Master that I bought new which turned out to be complete & utter crap in every possible way, I couldn't give a monkey's about "brands". Are these Divex watches really as good as they sound ? I would go for the 200m
  15. Many thanks, i'll take a look.
  16. This looks fantastic. Where did you purchase the strap please.
