  2. Hello, New on this forum and I wonder if anyone can explain this watch to me. Inherited it from my father-in-law who brought it back from Germany at the end of WWII. It was in this poor condition when he obtained it. What I don't understand is why the face is offset from the normal position ie the winder which is the normal position on the case is at 12.00 instead of 3.00. Someone has suggested it is a pilot's watch and this orientation would be useful when controlling the joystick. The back of the case is plain. Any advice would be welcome! Thanks Trevor
