  1. I'd want an alligator on such a refined piece. Contrast stitching is not my thing, but I can add no logic for such a preference. It's absolutely a personal choice. So for me, a black or blue alligator sir! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. Maestro in black today Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. New to me this week. Feeling the bling of my first gold (plated) watch. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  4. WHile we're on the subject of leather watch straps, has anyone here found their new strap to be squeaky? My new alligator strap appears to be squeaking when it rubs against the lugs. A first for me, lol.
  5. I've never been to White Hart Lane. I've been to Three Point Lane a fair few times over the years though The new stadium is absolutely breath-taking imho
  6. Lol, indeed. Appreciate you bringing the thread back on topic. I guess it's the padding rather than the leather that's causing the issue. I'll continue flexing on both straps as aside from their unwillingness to conform to my wrist shape they're both rather nice. On one, however, even the unpadded end is quite stiff, so maybe a leather nourishing/softening product might help, even if only marginally. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk Sorry JJ, I missed your comment until having a read back just now. What are those? Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  7. That's exactly my problem. The thick padding just doesn't want to give. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Always used Chelsea dubbin on my footy boots when I was a kid Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Also from the bay, and also a homage of sorts I'd say. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Cheers for that. I've found something on Amazon called Neatsfoot oil, which apparently softens up stiff or old leather. Both of my straps requiring some extra flexibility are black, so I'm assuming colour alteration shouldn't be an issue. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. So I've been on a bit of a spree in recent months. Four new watches, all mechanical (which is a turn up for a previously quartz only guy), and all on leather. Three are brand new and one is used. One of the four I bought on a bracelet but immediately switched to a Zlimsn alligator strap which has been super supple and comfortable from day one. The used one is very comfortable - maybe broken in already? Two have straps that are very nice but quite uncomfortable due to being very stiff. They just don't seem to want to conform to my fairly flat wrist shape, and leave the watch floating above
  12. Brilliant tale. Huge respect to all the participants. Proud to be affiliated to such honourable people through this excellent forum. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  13. New one (used but new to me) in today. Fresh from the Post Office! I will be posting a thread shortly to invite comment from the esteemed ranks of TWF. I reckon this one might split opinion (assuming at least a few of my brothers agree its a decent watch lol), being a 'fashion brand' Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Cheers KAS How's the world of boutique watches sir?!
  15. Okay will do.thanks Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  16. I previously had access a good few months ago but now I don't. Can anyone here tell me if I should or shouldn't have access based upon my post count, time served etc. And also if there are any other critical milestones for any other pages where access might be restricted? It's not of huge importance at the moment to be fair, as God knows I don't need any more avenues of temptation, but at the very least it would be good to know the crack if anyone here could be kind enough to fill me in. Cheers Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  17. It's taken five weeks to get my white RW back from RW service, but it finally came home last week. So seeing aa I started this thread but haven't as yet posted my pair together, here's the pics chaps Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  22. NATO/ US Mil straps win hands down for me. I prefer us Mil as they don't have the hardware of a NATO and are therefore much more understated imho. US Mil are however annoyingly difficult to source these days. I did have an eBay guy based in Cyprus who sold them but he's practically out of stock now and isn't continuing with them as a product line. Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  23. Can't go wrong with this classic. Enjoy sir. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  24. I was a litte underwhelmed by this one when I received it. Maybe felt it was a little boring, and not as black as my Seiko black series diver. However, the subtlety of the design combined with build quality, comfort, and ideal (for me) size make it my go-to black watch. At time of writing it's pretty much shut out my Seiko. 25. Has been at RW service centre for 5 weeks. Welcome home! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
