  2. Just checked out the Erika's Originals MN straps. Very nice. I can see myself trying one in future for sure. Nice recommendation KAS . Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  3. Haha. Glad I'm not the only bracelet border! I bought my traser with the bracelet but it's never been used. The Raymond Weil I have incoming is on a bracelet (and a very nice one imho) but I plan to wear it on a black crocodile strap, so another bracelet set for the darkness :-) Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  4. With comfort only in mind (seems the OP is referring mainly to comfort) If I had to choose one material for all seasons based upon my own experience I'd choose a NATO strap, and specifically a US military one (without the numerous metal bits and without the need to double back and tuck the strap end). That said, I appreciate a metal braceletcsnd leather too. They all have their benefits and downsides, comfort-wise. As said though, my various nylon NATO/US military straps work in all weathers, can be submerged, don't stretch or crack, and are super comfortable. And last but not least, they'
  5. Cheers bro. Yeah I agree 100 per cent. Thought so at the time I purchased it. Titanium, solar, sapphire, 100m WR. Cost just over a ton. I'm sure I may risk being sectioned here by saying I actually decided I preferred this to a SARB33 at the time Not sure I'd have made the same choice now.
  6. Third change of the day. Working from home makes it too tempting to visit the watch box on a whim! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Very nice Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. Cheers bro. I didn't want a homage as such, but rather something that had some similarities, ie black dial, mixture of batons and Arabic, oyster bracelet. At the time I bought this the Everest was rocking an acrylic crystal, which didn't appeal to me. If I had the choice now with the sapphire I think I'd have bought the same one you have
  8. This is the one I got to scratch my Explorer itch. Not nearly as Explorer-like as the Everest of course. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  10. Yes I'd agree, and especially now they've tweaked it by adding sapphire and refining the baron markers. I did do the same research myself a few years ago,but back then the acrylic crystal put me off. Enjoy! Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk *baton Sent from my SM-T230NU using Tapatalk
  11. Ah, nice. Did they used to use acrylic? Maybe Im just getting confused! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk I just answered my own question by visiting the Time Factors Everest sales page. Used to be acrylic but now sapphire - a very welcome upgrade. With its spiffy new sapphire it's probably the nicest Explorer-like watch out there imho. Very tempted! 12. Nice watch. I considered one of these a few years back. Is the crystal acrylic? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Pic not taken today, but felt like going stealth with my pvd promaster tough. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. That's really nice. Out of my self-imposed price range atm (will wait to see if a few more business contracts give me a tenuous reason to splurge in future!). I guess the definition of a dress watch is subjective. My current personal definition is something fairly vintage in look, and definitely not a diver or anything with a rotating bezel, which is not to say that I don't see exactly how well the omega would work for dress occasions. Being my first dress watch I suppose I wanted something in the 'classic' style, although on this occasion I stopped short of going for roman numerals. Nearly
  15. That's a nice compliment! Appreciated. I like the Rolex too, but as a quartz guy first and foremost (due to OCD accuracy affliction) this one is better for me. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Pre-lunch nibbles.. third change and figured a solar would appreciate the sun. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  16. Oops, hit the wrong quote button. My post above was meant to refer to Highland Laddie's post. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  17. That's a lovely watch. The dial detail is identical to a couple of RWs I've been considering, only yours has Arabic numerals rather than Roman or batons on tje RW ones. Does that suggest that the two brands share some connection I wonder. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  21. Apparently the Raymond Weil brand was arguably born because of quartz. Mr Weil put quartz into a classical swiss watch style in the 70s, at a time when the Swiss watch industry was under siege from Japan. So imho no problem with dressy quartz! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  22. One of the things that attracted me about RW is their independence from the two controlling Swiss watch groups. It's entirely subjective of course, but for me I like the idea that RW is still owned and run by the family of Raymond Weil. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  23. I did consider a ML too. Very nice one you have there! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk Yeah, I've looked at LOADS in the last week. As you do. They do share bracelets across models for sure. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
