  1. Been working in the garden this morning
  2. Just become the proud owner of
  3. I spend all my time buried in tech like this, Be it a smart phone or any wearable and as I say to people on many occasions I personally consider them communication tools that tell the time rather than a watch. I always get asked which apple watch I use and I replay I had the gen 1 and then gave it to my daughter. A watch to me is something that hides it complexity behind a normally deceptively simple interface (I know there are exceptions) but I never understood the snobbery of collectors around someone else's choices. I like single malt whisky and when asked the best way to drink it I always reply whatever way lets you enjoy the drink. Do I need to explain there is no hard and fast rules that some may require a slight warmth to bring them to life or that some benefit from a drop of warm water to help release certain oils and aromatics, no. Do you enjoy what you have then your doing it right and I think its the same in watches.
  4. well the big ic you can see is a memory chip so I guessing everything else is wither on the reverse or another board underneath. The screwdriver would so be taking that apart right now. I would guess the crown is probably the data port the other is probably power. Without getting under that board I couldn't be sure doe the lipo cell fit within the back and do you have a back for it? It does look like Chineseum electronicals at their very best.
  5. no difference apart from the charging brick you will get with the US one. What isn't clear and I have not had a chance to check is whether the apple watch series 4 shares the same international warranty that the series 3 did. it's quite hard to find a straight answer on that one even within their own warranty details. They may refer you to the country of purchase rather than offer a repair in the uk.
  6. Its amazing how many tv/films Hamiltons seem to be in. Interstellar, The Martian, MIB etc.
  7. just ordered the union jack one £109
  8. to be fair I don't feel like trusting my seamaster or sinn to my socks I have found the wolf one for just over the £100 and I also found https://www.hsjohnson.com/watches-c123/watch-storage-c139/wolf-462504-navigator-triple-wristwatch-roll-black-p11035
  9. As the wife and I are soon to off on our travels I am looking for a better travel case for my watches. I don't want a roll or flat case as I don't want to risk damage to the display backs on the watch's from the bracelets. I have been looking at a couple: https://www.watcho.co.uk/Watches/WOLF/Wolf-Blake-Black-Pebble-Leather-Watch-Roll-Travel-Case-For-3-Watches-305602.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwh6XmBRDRARIsAKNInDEhPeeMtqRAxhuha9aTOFmSKq0fQlHMrHT9lDPHZSHkUD73Ayl4Pc0aAgUnEALw_wcB Works out at around £160 with the discount. Everyone raves about wolf but no personal experience - my wallet doesn't like it https://www.amazon.co.uk/WATCHPOD-Organizer-Portable-Protection-Wristwatches/dp/B078NDSN9Q/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=watchpod&qid=1556734066&s=gateway&sr=8-2 £17 and seems to get good reviews - looks like watches can still move round in it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Invicta-Watch-Box-DC3GREY-YEL/dp/B00CLCU21W/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=invicta+watch+case&qid=1556734144&s=gateway&sr=8-5 £32 and nothing short of a nuke is getting through it. - weighs a ton Any thoughts on these or suggestions on others
