  1. Hello, I'm still think I'm pretty new to watches and everything that goes with them, but for some reason I felt like getting all the stuff out for my Omega Speedmaster 1957 50th Anniversary Watch and take pictures today. I've been wearing this watch alot recently, so wanted to take some pictures. I inherited this watch from my father, who passed away late last year. He always loved the speedmaster and the moon landing, he loved this 50th Anniversary and now I do, I thought I'd share these pictures. My photography skills are pretty poor, please accept my apoligies u
  2. Hello, I have a Ultrasonic cleaner that I use for cleaning stuff but never used it on a watch, I have bought a watch that needs a clean but I'm worried it might remove some of the finish. My question is, would the mid links be OK? Also some of them could do with a touch up, what is the best method of touching up some of the links?
  3. Had it for a couple of months now and I love it, I can't keep it off my wrist. I'm glad I bought pne. Where did you get the othe Seagul models you guys posted above? They look great watches too.
  4. Hello, Not sure if anyone follows Long Island Watches on Youtube, but he's released his own watch. It seems to be an updated SKX, which isn't a bad thing. I'm thinking of gettig it as a daily (I'm 99% sure he posts to the UK). What does everyone else think? Any other options out there with a similar spec sheet? https://www.longislandwatch.com/Islander_Watches_s/2006.htm
  5. I went to a lecture by Roger W Smith a couple of years ago, he's a really interesting guy who obviously loves what he does. Well worth going too.
  6. Oris seem to be a watch maker on the way up, I've noticed more and more of their models in my local shops. Good luck with your search
  7. If only I had the money spare, I'm guessing it'l go for a fair bit more than I can afford.
  8. Welcome, maybe your small obsession will turn into a bigger obsession. It did with me.
  9. Welcome to the forum, looking forward to the pictures also.
  10. For that type of watch I would stay away from Ebay too, there are far too many unscrupulous people on it.
  11. I thought it was 50 posts needed? It is 60?
  12. Same with me, they look a little fussy too with too many buttons.
  13. Some lovely classic cars here. I love the thought of classic cars but I just can't give up the silly little gadgets in modern cars, like parking sensors, remote central locking etc.
  14. Welcome back, a change in perspective can be a good thing too, no point doing something just to do it.
