  1. andyclient, that's what I am thinking, it can only be that !! I was very careful when I changed it, and I have changed lots of them, including this watch last time it needed it !! The coil looks perfect under a 30x loupe ( looks brand new ) as does the whole movement, but you never kmow !! Thanks anyway. Cheers.
  2. wrenny1969. Thanks for that, I had already read that, and mine has a 371 in it, which is what it had in it when I took it out. It might be worth me trying a 395 for the sake of a couple of quid !! Cheers.
  3. Hi all, thanks for the replies, I've checked everything mentioned but still no joy. The shorting method I've heard before but wouldn't know how to do it. I took it to one of these watch doctors you see in a shopping mall, he reckons its the coil and he could do it for about £60, but I'm worried he's not qualified enough to work on a watch such as this, probably take a chance on a £50 watch !!
  4. Hi all, I have a Hydro Conquest Quartz, I've had it for about 6 years but not worn it a lot so its still in superb condition. A few weeks ago I noticed the battery was low ( by the second finger jumping every 4 seconds ) so I put a new battery in it, and now it wont re-start. I went and got another battery on Monday, still the same, and I've been to a different shop today and bought another battery and its still the same !! Does anybody have any ideas as to why it wont run now, as it was ok before I put the new battery in !! Its as though it needs a kick start or something !! If I dont have any joy, I'll have to send it in to Longines !! Thanks so much for any help. Cheers. Paul.
