  1. Nor me but I do like to hear of others good fortunes. I once found an Omega (no idea what kind, it was before I paid any interest in watches) in Morrison’s and handed it in and the chap who’d lost it bought me a case of Kronenbourg - that’s about as close as I got! 2. There’s just been a Omega Speedmaster from 1967-68 on Antiques Roadshow which dates it before the moon landing. It was a little battered and well-worn. The chap had bought it for £5 on a flea market. The show valued the watch at circa £5,000. Not a bad mark-up. Has anyone else ever had ridiculous finds in charity shops/markets/boot sales etc. And have a story to tell? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. We did a just short of a month around Cambodia and Thailand a few years back, we did Siem Reap, Koh Rong Sanloem, Phnom Penh, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan (couldn’t go all that way and not take in a full moon party), Koh Tao and Bangkok. We loved it!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. A part of the world I’ve visited, loved and will most definitely be returning - presuming my guesses are right and you’re in the thailand/Cambodia region! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I don’t think there is gonna be a right or wrong answer here Angelina. The answer depends on so many factors, for example, your budget, used/new, colour, strap, strictly Rolex/Tag, when you need the watch by etc. I wish one of my colleagues would buy me a Tag/Rolex I know that. The more info you can provide the more help we can be. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Serious question, are the estimates realistic and the watches have sold for way more than estimate because they belonged to Hefner? Or are the estimates pretty low? Some of those prices in relation estimate seem wild! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I can’t believe they only made three of them, presumably at extortionate costs, and were quite willing to leave one on the ocean bed...nuts! Great write-up though, thank you!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I like the edifice range, although I don’t think I’d want one, but seen Watches2u have them on for £69.99 delivered - sounds a snip at that price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You got any photos of it jeordio, I’m curious to see it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a denim strap and on first impressions, I’m not a fan. I love the dial and marker colour combo though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. What a peach!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Call me a cynic, but if a company rings up out of the blue and asks you to pay through a third party does this not suggest some kind of fraud? I can imagine all of these fraudsters are hacking any websites going at the minute given companies have skeleton teams in operation. Be wary, if they ring out the blue, question it. And don’t forget it is extremely easy to call someone and make it look like you’re calling from a different number. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That is ridiculous, I bet the price tag is eye watering as well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I love that!! Looks like it would be far too big for my wrists however Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I know, I was hoping for a tad more traction but unfortunately not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. That is a beauty!! Thanks for posting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I’ve seen quite a few King Quartz watches on this forum over the past few weeks and notice there’s a wide amount of variety in the colour combinations, straps, age etc. I really like them and post covid it would probably be my next purchase (I’m not telling t’other half just yet). We had a similar panda post a few weeks back for Pandas, so can I see your King Quartz please? And any associated reviews of them. Thanks chaps (and ladies). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Sounds like your right hand is more active than your left hand, I wonder what is causing that mid-lockdown ha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I looked at Rolex’ when picking my latest watch and even tried a few on, there just wasn’t any I particularly liked and realised I was being drawn to them because they were “Rolex”. I changed my mind and went for the watch I liked best. Also, if you’re interested, I know of a man potentially selling a 1997 submariner at some point in the future (possibly) but just wants some information for now. Let me know and I’ll pass on your details... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. As I thought/hoped. Majority of uses appear to be timing something and not for the purposes of calculating speed/acceleration etc. They do look good though!!
  22. Has anyone ever had a real world use for the chronograph functions on their watch? I was reading the instruction manual for mine yesterday and thought "who actually uses this for what it's intended?" So, the questions is, have you used it, and what for?
  23. In order to be classed as British made, are their similar laws in place as to be "swiss made"? And what are the requirements? Just assembled? Or parts made there and assembled?
  24. I'm not a fan of that Milgauss second hand either. I think the Air-King and the Explorer would be on par in terms of looks, but I just can't get away with the "Air-King" text on the dial.
