  1. I've not seen this model before and I've only seen this style of bracelet on the Auto Realy! Watch looks great btw. Thanks for the advice chief
  2. No problem at all chief, I'm glad you got see the watch. I think you were wise to use a good jeweller, in my case (I think mentioned in another post that I had initially taken the watch to two jewellers and one watch repair shop, but they all returned the watch saying saying the same thing, that they could not take the back case off!! That's why it went in to a drawer. And after I purchased a few watch repair tools, I thought what do I have to lose, let me give it a go - and amazingly I got the back off, mind it was difficult and time consuming. I'm enjoying the watch again, not sur
  3. [ Tbh, even with the instructions (thanks to eezy) not sure if I'm feeling brave enough to take the back off again - it took some time to get it all aligned (if not correctly set) and put back together!
  4. I've not heard that myself but it makes sense Seiko would do that. That's the other reason why I want to collect a few more, because they are discontinued. I luckily picked this up for the less than what some of the second hand models sell for! Really happy with it. I recommend you try and get a hold of a blue dial one if possible, you won't be disappointed. Btw @tick-tock-tittle-tattle what are your thoughts on using a watch winder to keep the one I don't wear charged?
  5. Thanks for your post @tick-tock-tittle-tattle - agree with everything you said, the auto relay models for me have been the best Seiko's I've owned. I used to have the same model as you but with the blue dial, great watch. My new purchase, another Seiko Auto Relay!, has arrived today - very excited, will post some pics later.
  6. Hello Everyone, I'm a big fan of the Kinetic Auto Relay model, used to have three in my collection now only have one - thought I'd share some pics for everyone to see. I love the sleep mode function myself. Would love to hear from other owners - also let me know what you think guys in general.
  7. @eezy You're an absolute gem - thank you for this. I have got the watch working again but not all functions work due to not re-assembling correctly but thanks to you I can brave it now and remove the back once again and make the corrections. If a get a chance I will post some pics tomorrow. I'm really pleased this watch isn't gonna gather dust in a drawer, way to nice for that. Thanks again.
  8. Hello Simon, I recently bought myself a cheap repair kit and I successfully changed the battery on this watch that was dormant in a drawer for years! However, the problem is I haven't done something right as the day sub dial is ticking away same as the second hand sub dial!, I'm sure it isn't meant to do that. I'm obviously putting it back together incorrectly and also the two little white plastic cogs you can see in the pics, I can't remember where they go?! Any pointers, advice would be massively appreciated. Thank you
  9. Thank you. I will do that.
  10. These dancing hands have got me interested.....Great post
  11. @Always"watching" @Chromejob @Biker @Davey P @scottswatches This is the update on the Accurist Greewich..... Having recently bought myself a cheap repair kit and I successfully (after some difficulty) removed the back case and changed the battery, getting it to work again! However, the problem is I haven't done something right as the day sub dial is ticking away same as the second hand sub dial!, I'm sure it isn't meant to do that. I'm obviously putting it back together incorrectly and also the two little white plastic cogs you can see in the pics, I can't remember where they g
