  1. As above...and it doesn't have one of those nasty 4.30 date windows Here's mine...
  2. Happy Friday to you all. Hamilton X Wind today, which I think would be a great watch if a) the glass wasn't so damn reflective and b) the hands were legible....
  3. Ah! Thanks for the heads up, just before I ordered! Have dropped them a line to ask, will update this thread with what I hear.
  4. Thank you both for the info, ordering now - and so begins the long wait....
  5. Thanks for letting me know! That's a long wait, I'd have forgotten I'd ordered it in that time! Would make it a nice surprise when it does arrive though. I'll order and see what happens. Thanks again.
  6. Hello! Has anyone purchased anything from Meranom recently? I've got my eye on a little Russian number and wondered if delivery has been affected by all this COVID business? TIA
  7. Trying to brighten a grey day with this...(might help if I cleaned it!)

Shame as paperback would be easier to handle but I think it's worth having the images as large as possible (they're great quality). Here's some more
  11. Nothing watch related (I'll have to do something about that) but I did get this, which i just built....vroom vroom!
  12. She's ugly, but I quite like her...
  13. My recommendation would be 'The Colour of Time' by Dan Jones and Marina Amaral - this is a favourite of mine to just pick up and then realise you've lost an hour or two browsing through the images. The book is a collection of historic photographs from 1850 to 1960 that have been colourised. For some reason, the addition of colour seems to make these images more impactful and more human. As a warning to anyone who might buy this, some images are very blunt and show the horrors of the time period covered without apology. I discovered this book after seeing Marina Amaral's work 'Faces
  14. Solid choice for openers there, what watches do they wear?
  15. Hello all, Thank you for letting me join your fine forum - what was it Groucho Marx said about joining a club that would have him as a member?! Have a modest little watch collection, most of which has already been displayed in the daily rounds of 'what are you wearing' posts, but I'm sure there'll be some new arrivals soon! Aside from the watches, I have a few guitars an American muscle car and a garden that needs some care and attention. From what I can tell, I might be in good company here. Finally, apologies for not posting this sooner but I've only just found this sect
