  1. Some of you may remember my first post a few weeks ago asking for advice on my first watch purchase. Well, here it is: a blue Orient Kamasu! It feels real good to walk around in and I'm very happy with it! I've also order a Vostok Komandirskie (how could I resist at £30) so will post that when it arrives! https://ibb.co/Y7jGpmF Loving the forum! Just realised the link takes you to an external site with the photo... apologies, will sort that out for future posts!
  2. Yep, I'm thinking of getting it with the blue dial. Really liking the look of it and excited to order at the weekend! Can't wait to unbox my first. I'm also seeing how addictive this hobby is. Haven't even got the Kamasu and already want five others. Though maybe that'll settle once I have one on my wrist
  3. Thats some great advice, thank you! And thank you everyone else for the help! I'm only 20 years old and new to the hobby, which means a lot of people I've spoken to about watches have been somewhat snobby towards me, but it seems I've stumbled upon a lovely place here
  4. Ahh I see, thank you. Guess that's just more an incentive to get actively involved on the forum!
  5. Just wondering, where on this forum can I find people selling watches? Sorry if I'm missing something blindingly obvious!
  6. Thank you for all your help and recommendations everyone. I'm a little taken aback at how helpful everyone has been on here! That's a lot more replies than I thought and probably too many to reply to all individually, so my apologies! Having read some recommendations and looking around a bit more, I am very close to settling on the Orient Kamasu... I like the design a lot, and it has the bonus of sapphire crystal, unlike the Mako. I do really like the look of the Christopher Ward watches recommended by @Rookie1986... definitely one that is going on my bookmark list for a later purch
  7. Hi all, I am quite new to the hobby and was just wondering what websites people recommend for UK watch buying, and also whether there are any good London shops that I should visit when they open up again? Currently looking at predominately entry level watches (roughly up to £400) if that is of any relevance. Any recommendations for starter watches in this price range would be interesting as well! I mainly like dress style watches, but do also like divers/sports so long as they are relatively subtle (e.g. Orient Mako II is one that has caught my eye recently).
