1. CHeers mate, your're a bloody legend! It was indeed him I emailed, I'm sure he probably gets at least 93 million emails a day asking questions for no profit So tomorrows job is to track one of those down....on a sunday
2. Absolutely frothing as my Epperlein 100 arrived today, complete with original case. The movement looks fantastic and from what I can see, it's never had a battery in it. This is a good thing as a battery may well have leaked, however it does give me another issue.........which battery?? Found a fella with a website who seems to know a thing or two but so far no response to my email........maybe he's jealous Does anyone know anything about these and what battery they take, don't want to risk "trying" and frying it! Appreciate any help from the team
3. Well vintage watches I guess have done some "miles" lol mate of mine just got his first Vostok (I think that's what it was, Russian for sure, he picked it up for $40, then off to his watchmaker...$240 later!) Coincidentally think my Sealion is having issues with the auto
4. Cheers, it is isn't it, the picture doesn't do it justice, the whole things just pops, currently with my horologist as there's an issue with the "automatic"........much like cars, manuals seem to be less hassle!
5. Cheers, I have since discovered how to post images here, it's been a decade or so since I was on a forum and the memory was a bit rusty
6. New to the forum and new to the whole watch collecting thing, prior to this I'd bought two watches in my life, a Sekonda which back in the late 80's cost me half a weeks wages and my current daily Olympic. Since rediscovering watches I've developed a bad habit, having acquired a slew of watches in the last 4 months, vintage is where it's at for me with a '45 Delvinex and my beaut '64 Sealion being my fave raves, alongside the '90 Tag 200. The exception to this would be the Parnis Daytona homage which I couldn't say no to....and the Epperlein 100, which is on it's way to me now.........anyway, that's me and watches so far, looking forward to soaking up the knowledge and engaging in some "light" banter
7. G'day, Newbie watch collector here (who knew it could be sooooooo addictive ) I've just recently acquired an Epperlein 100, browsing through the forum it seems there are a few here with some knowledge of these, be interested to hear your thoughts, pics to follow once I've organised a picture hosting thingy! https://i.postimg.cc/XrWnbktD/1628534792.jpg
