Thanks for posting an image of the reverse.

I know images of movements are irritating to some but personally I think they are captivating & should be displayed.

Would like to see a lot more.

Heavy and dark monsoon clouds put paid to a 45km drive west (east is the sea) for a planned lunch at one of Thailand's largest vineyards, which is a shame as we have never been there and it looks stunning in the photo's and we have read good things about it. Oh well, another time. Although the change of plans gave me time to do other things, including getting an up to date pic of today's watch. That's fluff on the crystal, case and lug, not marks!

Nice watch @ong

By chance I am wearing a watch that Ebel bought out to replace the el Primero in their watches (Like Rolex, Ebel used the EP movement for a while and effectively kept it alive - Zenith were not using it!).  And I took a pic of the movement too

DSC_0112DSC_0068

It's my first Ebel and I have to say they do remind me of Zenith in many ways.  The quality feels right - each link in the bracelet has nine components!  And this 137 movement was developed when Ebel, Lemania and Breguet were all in the same group.  Breguet used the base plate from this movement for their watches too (it is known in Ebel terms as le Modulor, so it shouldn't surprise anyone to know it is a modular design).  And it is chronometer rated.

Back in 1997 when this was new it was £2475, then £950 extra for the bracelet.
