Has anyone been swimming or snorkeling with a Seiko 5 diver? They are related at 100m but I'm skeptical about that as they don't have a screw down crown.
If it's new I would have no issues using it in the pool, if it is used and not certified beware I have had one that did get a little wet when I just cleaned it in water.
A 100m water resistant watch CANNOT actually handle a depth of 100 meters. Not even close. It's a marketing gimmick.
There are watches out there (from expensive brands) that do get certified to certain depths but those brands pay a lot of money for those certifications. Those are the big deal, indeed.
Even so, if it doesn't have a screw down crown, screw down case back and a crystal that is press fit from the outside, I don't think a watch should be submerged into water, especially at great depths.
