can you help identify this movement?

Recommended Posts

I need to find a donor movement (looking for a balance wheel and staff). Can you help in trying to identify the movement? It's a large size pocket watch with not a lot of info to go on I am afraid. The movement itself measures at 53.77mm.

Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Case is made of Argentan = German Silver, a nickel compound material. Dial likely French, but you probably knew that anyway.

Looks a lovely dial and in very good condition! Wish you well in your quest!

Could you remove the balance staff. Only do so if you have the correct tool. Or you could damage the balance. Then measure the dimensions of the staff and you may find one in the Ronda Staff Catologue. Is a late Swiss Geneva Bar movement.

Hope this helps. Regards Simon.

Unfortunately the balance staff tip has already snapped off. I suppose I could still measure and estimate the missing tip.
