Major new arrival for me

AP Royal Oak

I've wanted one of these for years.:inlove:

Now I have one. :yahoo:

Congratulations! Be good to know more about this model, maybe in a separate thread?

Rainy day here today, seemed appropriate to stick the PADI on!

I was looking for something fun earlier in the week and was struggling to remember the name of the quite famous designer watch that revealed the time by way of different colours around the dial.  Whilst I was trawling the Internet looking for the answer, this little gem cropped up

Sold under a variety of different brands (this particular one is "Biden") for around £25 I couldn't resist it and it makes me smile whenever I look at it.  It's so sci-fi!

Of course I eventually found the watch I was originally looking for.  That was, you may recall, the Tian Harlan Chromachron, a late, quartz example of which should be with me any day now, fingers crossed!

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, the time displayed on the watch above is about 7 minutes past 6.  The inner "swirl" is minutes and the outer "swirl" is hours.
