What do you like ?

Recommended Posts

@Steve D UK's "what annoys you thread" has reached 29 pages. Are we all really a bunch of moaning gits ? :laughing2dw: Let's see what you like. I'll kick it off with a new pair of boots.

Blundstone-Round-Toe-Boot-Rustic-Brown-4

Been wearing same brand for 30 plus years, and been without a pair for three weeks. New ones arrived yesterday. Bliss. :beach:

Same bird for 45 years...

Bliss!

6 years behind you on that one. No complaints either.

Still can't beat a good pair of boots and a bespoke hat. :laughing2dw:

Sunspel clothing ... great value, beautiful colors, classy to the Nth degree. I discovered them many years ago before Lindy Hemming tapped them to drape the new muscular JB007. Now their prices are through the roof, but I still pick up a bit here or there during sales. Shipping is super speedy, and when I wrote to them about a pair of swim trunks that were fading unevenly, and were too snug, they zipped me off a new pair gratis. THAT’s class.

My dog is number one.

Favourite sport, boxing.

Then there's clothes

John Smedley polos

Loake boots and shoes

Just got a pair of Barbour Bedlington Chelsea boots in cognac. The last pair on line i could see.

Got a pair of Jack Wolfskin summer boots which have the bonus of being waterproof too. Didn't have to go up a size or half a size either.

I also like Belstaff and Barbour wax jackets, the former being twice the price of the latter.

Boss, Vivienne Westwood  and Ralph Lauren polos  in my wardrobe as well.

Plus about 5 tweed jackets

I like to zone out and chillax to music but have no preference .

Also enjoy movies of all variety but my favourite are James Bond.

I also have a little thing for trainers , before amputation I could only wear basketball style trainers because of my bad feet but now as long as they are a size 8 I can wear em , dont even need to try them on to see if they are comfy

I like country pubs where there's a fire on in the winter, muddy boots are par for the course and dogs are welcome.

Went to one last week in Appletreewick in the Yorkshire Dales that's one of the best ive been in

Mortal man in Troutbeck is another.

Where to start

Wine, women and song.

Fun in the sun especially if it includes all of the above.

I hate sitting indoors, used to be out and about seven days and nights a week, slowing down a bit these days though and shifts at the current works are getting in the way a bit.

Clothes, Big M says I'm worse than a women.

And surprisingly work, I've always been a bit of a workaholic. Not breaking rocks for 12 hours and nothing that involves any sort of hard manual labour. Although theses days as said above combining my party lifestyle with work isn't as easy as it used to be.

I like holiday's with just the wife and the dog in a Peak District cottage. Must have: enclosed garden for dog, woodburning stove, bath, local dog-friendly pub, WiFi!

Did i not?? :oops:hahaha

Cottages are what me, wife and dog usually do. The peaks are only about 1/2 the distance away that the lakes are but pricier.

Edale and Hope are beautiful.Plenty of places in this country to see, yet.
