I used to work with a computer science grad who couldn't do basic maths in his head.  totally dependant on a calculator for even rudimentary multiplication and so forth. :bash:

It is unbelievable how the world has changed.  As far back as I can remember I could tell the time, and 24 hour.   Even though there are many digital clocks around me at home, there still is an analogue wall clock in the living room and kicthen.

So a Sun dial is a no-no. :laughing2dw:

I find an uncluttered analogue watch so easy for a quick glance at the time, same as an analogue clock.

My view would be , if they can't tell the time on a clock face then tough ****.... leave it as it is.... and tell them to learn how to tell the time in readiness for their exams...

Being forced to to be able to tell the time god forbid, some will say they`re rights are being violated!

It's not the world. Just your islands.

Did Roy shrink the website or something ? Everything appears smaller...

We have a large, radio controlled outdoor clock at our community pool, and when it started falling behind I took it down. Only took a day before someone posted on Facebleak, "Hey, where's the big clock?" I thought, You don't take your phone to the pool?

I think the default font changed, as a result of a recent software update. Makes the pages look more compact.

You're sitting further from the screen.

Given the fact that I have a pretty crappy laptop with a 15" screen and a small resolution, I don't like it, but oh well...:baby:

Easily remedied. CTRL+"+" or "-" will zoom or shrink your browser display. Make it persistent by editing the content settings in Settings (but this effects all pages). (CTRL+SHIFT+"+" also changes the screen resolution of a Chromebook and some other computers. In both command combos, "0" restores the default zoom/resolution.)

I work part time as an invigilator, and that school has used digital clocks for about 3 years in the exams, but there is still a large analogue clock as well.

It’s very sad, but surely you have to blame the parents? I mean it’s a basic skill that should be taught before secondary school at least.

And some say that size doesn't matter? Women can be so wrong sometimes.   :sadwalk:
