A couple of, ahem! "Goldbirds" today although I took the photo yesterday.

Timefactors PRS-7 Speedbird II "Goldbird" and the lovely Shirley Eaton on the cover of LIFE magazine, 2nd November 1964, depicting her role as the ill-fated Jill Masterson in the "new" James Bond movie, Goldfinger.

Thought I'd dig the Zlatoust out today but didn't have a strap strong or wide enough to bear it's weight. It quite wore me out just lifting it out of the box!

So it's going to be my favourite 1962 Movado.

I seem to have been stuck on various TW Steels every day for the past few weeks, so just for a change I thought I'd wheel out one of my big hitters.  Today it's the mighty Bulova "Davey Pee", now back on it's original bracelet after a spell on rubber:

Probably not quite as comfortable as the rubber strap, and definitely makes the watch a bit heavier, but it does look bloody awesome (I'd almost forgotten how nice this one looks on the wrist!) so the bracelet is now back on for good :yahoo:

Yes Davey looks awesome on the original bracelet, can't see how a rubber strap would work with those shoulders on the watch.
