Best topic everrr

There have been others...they're in the photography section. Look up 'Lume shots?' and 'Sometimes it's better in the dark' which currently runs to 11 pages of lume shots and how to take them.

I have been comparing Seiko Monster against Citizen Excalibur(on the left). The Seiko starts brighter but the Citizen last longer...

There's another lume photography thread in the photography section of the forum, should I merge them?

I can either bring the old one up here or send this new one down there!

I have also cleaned up the old thread and removed all the dead photobucket posts

And the collection after a bit of torch time. Bottom LHS is from 1960s so it's a surprise to see it have any, the other weak one is a modern Vostok, bottom middle doesnt have any!

That is a Karlskrona Nordic shield. The top LHS & RHS are Armidas and beat my only Seiko hands down for lume

I once did an experiment to see how various lumes compared...some only lasted around 30 minutes..or at least were recordable by the camera. I can't find it, but still have the pics to re-post.

The line up...Seiko 'Frankenmonster', Seiko 'Sea Urchin', Omega SMP, Rolex GMT.

The led torch used to 'charge' the lume...a full minute of exposure.

The start...all glowing nicely

Lights back on and you can see the elapsed time on the watches.

@Roger the Dodger  Nice test

I did not know the Rolex lume is so poor

When I started looking for lumshots a couple of year ago I came across a test with many Seiko's and one Citizen( I believe it started with PM something for the serial number). The Citizen was the best in the test. I can not find that test anymore but I think it was on Watchuseek :hmmm9uh:
