Plating Kits?

Cousins UK are showcasing their plating kits this month...for instance, a litre of 9ct solution is £241.95, a litre of 18ct is £254.95. You will also need the electroplating machine which is a snip at £1,595.

I was looking the cheaper alternatives 50-60 pounds. Obviously those u mentioned would be great to have, but out of my price range, plus only wanted it to do a few items. You can get the brush/ pen ones. 

Also i wondered how much say a pocket watch case, would cost at a platers, in 9ct Gold Plate

Anyone ever had one done?

I used a company called 'Easy Electroplating' (https://easyelectroplating.co.uk/) a few years ago to re-plate my Mickey Mouse watch in 18ct gold. It cost £55, and they did a really nice job. I had to strip the watch before sending just the relevant parts. They do quotes.
