Edox WRC Classic Date - Battery Replacement

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am looking to replace the battery of my Edox watch (model 70170 3 NIN) that I'm rather fond of. However, I don't know anything about watches and therefore I was hoping someone could help me a little! I'd be very happy if someone could let me know what kind of tool should I should purchase to open the case without damaging anything and ensuring it remains waterproof. Thanks in advance!

I would advise you use, at least, a tool with 3 adjustable posts. The case could be very tight, and you may slip if you use a cheap 2 post case opener. To avoid marking the caseback. In order to maintain the waterproof seal of the caseback, you should replace the caseback " O" ring seal.

Personally if I knew nothing about watches and wanted a battery replacing in a nice watch (which the Edox is) I would take it to somebody who did know about watches.

Thank you very much for the tip, I'll see if I can get my hands on one of those! With regard to the first reply to this thread, what about the "O" ring seal once I've successfully opened the case?
