Pulsar LED Advice

Recommended Posts

Greetings

First, I am new to the forum.  I recently came upon an older Pulsar Time Computer in what looks like it's original case , with a manual.  I am very much a novice but I like the watch so took a chance on it.   I have loaded batteries in it and cannot get it to fire up.  There may be start up procedures I am not aware of and do not see in the manual.  Likely, lt is a faulty movement.

Can anyone tell me if this model is worth repairing and who could do it ?   Or, am I better off to sell it an let it pass to someone more experienced and attached to Pulsar's ?

I have attached a few photos of it.   Any repair advice or advice on value of the watch would be appreciated.

Thanks

That's a Pulsar 'Dress' Model. Pulsar Dress Link  Second Dress Link  They are fairly inexpensive and one of the least collected Models, except for a Dress model called a "Greenie". Greenie Link  If you installed the batteries properly and the auto set instructions don't do a thing, the module is probably dead.

Having owned 16+ Pulsars over the years, and having seen the trouble getting proper & timely repairs done to the Modules, I would say unload that watch and move on if it doesn't work. The Pulsar LED watch market has taken a good dive in the past 5+- years.  Having said that, I sold that exact same Pulsar Watch display box 5+ years ago and they can command some nice money as they are fairly rare. That is the correct watch display box for that particular watch.
