Hi everyone.

I'm a watch enthusiast from the Greater London area. I'm very much a quartz guy, and particularly the big two Japanese brands make up circa two-thirds of my not huge (circa 15) watch collection.

I've been a watch enthusiast (in terms of recognising watches as a hobby of sorts) for approx 10 years.

Up until the last year or so I've mainly seemed to gravitate towards 'tool' or 'tough' watches of various types. However, I am now increasingly looking (and drooling over, lol) more refined pieces.

I've previously experimented with owning mechanicals but my experiences have been frustrating to date so currently I don't own any. I am however still open, in theory at least, to a further try. Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet?!

I had a period of time when I ws obsessed with G Shocks, and still retain three, although tbh none get much wrist time these days.

Pics are of some of my current collection (chronologically presented in terms of purchase date).

I look forward to making many new online friends here, and talking about our shared love of watches.06ac630b10ae7b8de6f2202464561156.jpg35dd3b5fb726695da9f08e076b9d73b0.jpgc143b05015840e680119fcf67f7ce930.jpg52b0e8af171e69699970906d9d5adaf2.jpgf7f98956c6437ca40bf6f261deba0c52.jpg7487935ec172d2f934c111ceaf36fd6b.jpg77b061901672b85e233328fd9e425a30.jpg775618a5ebf87825c800f264ac42ff1c.jpg2c368cce6dc31c26fec74e10a649cfb0.jpgf57470b3461d997e358cb9c19fed2c6c.jpg

Welcome.  Have a look at the Seiko 7A28 / 38 / 48 range if you like quartz and fancy something vintage (1982-88)

Thanks Scott. I just had a quick look on Google (will have a better look later). I really like the 70s/80s style bracelets

Nice to see some good pics of decent watches from a new Forum member. Welcome and hope you will contribute more posts in due course.:)

Thank you so much sir. I am very sure I've arrived at a great place to discuss my watch obsession, and, judging by a post reply to a thread I made in 'Japanese Watches' (by @kevkojak), a place where I'll learn a lot too.

Some very nice watches, I'm envious of that lovely Seiko Sportura GMT.
Haha, thank you!

And thanks for your replies re the Citizen Chronomaster. I think one would certainly need to handle this watch in person before committing to a purchase.
