Although I don't finish until next Tuesday, today is my official 'retiring from work' luncheon so we're all off somewhere nice (I hope!)...my guv'nor did explain that he'd found it almost impossible to book a table at Maccy D's...:laughing2dw:.

There can only be one watch in my collection for this momentous occasion, so I'll be wearing the GMT. (3 days to go! )

Rolex GMT

Congratulations, have a great day!

Up early, and wearing this new arrival

DSC_0157

2016 Seiko Astron.  Perpetual calendar until 2100, GPS time setting to ensure accuracy of 1 second per 100,000 years (according to Seiko, don't come back to me after 8,000 years and say it is 2 seconds out!).  The case is large, but rose gold coated titanium so light and comfortable

Time to sling it soon and get a replacement ;)

It is becoming a chore now 'having' to wear it mate...

No to be honest, I will never sell it. It's my grail watch. For me personally, it is perfection.

Some lovely watches being worn today.

And the odd bruiser, still on from yesterday

(Actually, the tail of the strap has a notch that engages with the floating keeper, and now I have it on, I cannot actually get it off!  Talk about a watch that grabs you ....)

p.s. Nigelp kindly sent me a decent shirt (jk)!

Have a great day!

This old thing... again...

I like wearing different watches - I enjoy having a collection - but if I had to sell them all and keep only one I wouldn't - I'd sell them all and buy a Speedy! (Don't let my Strela hear that )

Hm, I don't have the option of adding an image from existing file anymore, only from URL. Anyone else have this issue?

Same hear although I did just upload to the gallery?

Ditto.. Uploaded and wanted to post. Anyone advise if it may be because the yearly subscription has expired?

There's a thread here about it.  Apparently you can just Copy/Paste images from the Gallery as a workaround.

Stowa (Baumuster A of course) . . .

It's a sobering thought that a device this simple and elegant was actually designed solely to aid destruction and slaughter :hmmm9uh:
