Hi all,

With the Kermit today. @JonnyOldBoy if I wear it enough will I become a chef or do I need to learn to cook too?

That watch is responsible for one of my favourite recipes I'll have you know .... I was noticing it was the watch of choice for Gino d'campo on a program ( I later found out it wasn't his , he had borrowed it from another chef ) , but , my attention was turned to the dish he was making. He was making a sea food linguine , and interesting enough he pre cooked the large shell-on prawns , de-headed them , set the body meat aside for the dish and then liquidised the cooked prawn heads with passata, garlic, olive oil, basil and lemon juice to make the sauce base.  I now use a similar recipe to this ( not exactly the same one ) so If you want like Sea Food Linguine AND want to play chef with your Roley... PM me and I will get the recipe to you ...

i knew you'd say that! I might give it a go ive a couple of pairs now, what with the zeniths and an incoming cousin for my seiko t32 in the form of a mid 90's pulsar, you know i dont think ive ever seen anyone wearing a watch on each wrist, you are unique!

and i thought i was adventurous with Hollands steak puddings :sadwalk:

i dont think my stomach is strong enough to deal with things that have been de headed with liquidised body meat. In fact i dont know how i manage steak puddings.

but thickness of leather made it sit high up from the wrist

I have several watches, including the one in today's WRUW, on 'RAF style' NATO straps from vintagewatchstraps.

They don't have the double thickness under the watch.  Here are my other two straps, and my Strela will probably go on one as well.

You can have leather keepers or a choice of metal, and wear the buckle wear you like.

Still in Austria, so still wearing the giant TW Steel Volante:

20170824_181932

I had to laugh, when I walked into the office on Tuesday afternoon, a couple of the guys here pointed out that I'd left a watch behind on my previous visit.  I mentioned it was a spare, just left here deliberately in case I forgot to put one on for my visits in future (I've done that a couple of times in the past - NIGHTMARE!!! :laughing2dw:) and they looked at me as if I'd gone mad... until I pointed out it was a 5 Euro Lidl special  (They still think I'm mad though!).

To be fair, I actually quite like the Lidl watch, so I guess that means I'm not taking things quite as seriously as some of you lot... :tumbleweed:

I like all my watches, even the cheap ones.  With a few exceptions, it's hard to make the case for expensive watches, except as jewelry, club membership or badges.

I was given it by @Teg62x an I haven't had it off my wrist since.

I'm really surprised how much I like it.

Might buy another :-)

1999 Zenith El Primero Chronomaster

I've wanted one of these Chronomasters for ages, but glad I waited for the right specification (black dial, English day month wheels, box and papers, )

that a smasher! Bet it takes some setting up though in the morning, more of a 'my Secretary will have car at the door and watch on my desk ready'. Type i guess.

it looks great on a nato! I brushed the case. The bracelet was impossible to adjust! You might recognise the papers!
