The watch isnt a Breitling then.:tongue:

If it was .... then so long as it complimented the ( if I am not mistaken ) that Dolce and Gabanna swim top then it would be splendid. The red accents on the Colt and Avenger watches would of course make the ensemble adjust to the optimum.

Many moons ago I used to sell D&C at the same time I sold Helmut Newton Nudes.... The Nudes made me more money , significantly more , but D&C gave me more pleasure. The style and subtleties were sublime.

I’m not sure it is later than the era portrayed. From memory they were quite fastidious about their choice of watches on the Mad Men set.

I’m not sure what he’s wearing above. He wore a vintage Seamaster for a while which I thought was perfect for the era. And one of the other characters actually remarked something along the lines of “Oh let me just check the time on my Hamilton Electric watch” in one episode.

Well why not, they were all in advertising after all.

Allegedly an Explorer. I just found this;

"Remember when I said that thing about Don eventually developing a preference for sport watches. Well, this is that watch. The Explorer that he wears throughout season four of the show has been rumored to actually be ananachronism, being a more recent Explorer reference than he would have been able to wear in the 1960s, but that only makes the piece all the more interesting. It also gets a pretty abundant amount of seemingly intentional screen time (watch the show and you’ll see what I mean), which might mean that Rolex invested a bit of energy to plug the piece without making it a public relationship. That, or Don is just proud of his super rugged, but super refined new Rolex. The world may never know."
