Now I do like a nice Seiko, but are so many knobs necessary?

no not at all, the t62 has all the same functions with only 2 pushers and a crown.

Another one of those on eBay didn't sell at £55. No box etc though. Now I'm thinking I should've bought it.

I found the one you are talking about now, yes ive looked at it so had it on my viewed items, looks excellent for 55 quid, its not the one i was thinking of. They are a great feeling and looking watch in the flesh. Why not message the seller and offer them 50 quid? Its a nice pick up at that, condition looks good and with new battery and check over it sounds a bargain. I love mine.

gold plate looks good too

ive a spare link off my deceased t42 if you need it. But bracelet looks a good length, ask them to confirm as mine was short to start with, before the links off the 42.

On reflection I'm going to let it pass. It's an interesting watch, but I'm not really into gold on modern watches. Also, this morning's post reminded me I've been a bit trigger happy lately. Thanks for the offer of the links, though, that was kind of you.
