Date wheel not changing entirely

Recommended Posts

Hello @simon2, I have a swiss quartz watch with a 70s-80s ETA-ESA movement.

Everything runs fine and smooth except for the date wheel which doesn't come all the way down. The day wheel works fine but not the date one.

It comes down by about 85% so it's a bit noticeable that it's not in line. If I change it manually by rotating the hands it seems to align once I push in the crown.

Hey Simon, nothing has been replaced.

When I simply inspected the movement it looked clean (also meaning no lubricants). I added some in some areas where there's friction and it had the same problem. Now I cleaned it all up and assembled it without lubricant and so far it seems to run smooth.
