Interesting dive watch story

Great story, and obviously a pretty good value for money dive watch, perhaps best with an upgrade on the strap. Galvanic corrosion not only bedevils some watches that are designed to go under water but is also a problem with ordinary watches where the stainless steel of the caseback comes into contact with a base metal case. Under certain conditions, the case will corrode around the contact area where it meets the steel back.:)

Galvanic corrosion affects the Jag XJ8 X308 too. They used collars on the bumper bolts. Bolts were steel. Collars alloy. Collars turned to dust and bumpers fell off. Even worse the x350 had steel rivets self piercing throughout and holding together an aluminium body...
