Good morning,

One of my Timex twins.

76 Sprite, not in mint condition, but still functional and original and the same models as the watch that got me 'into' watches when I was a kid.

Guess I should go to work.  Have a lovely day.

Morning,

From the original Swiss makers comes this 38mm aluminium-cased Festina, probably ‘50s and with a 17j ETA 1120. From altogether more innocent times when the choice of performance enhancers was between a bowl of porridge or a chocolate bar, both if you were lucky,  and long before the infamous Tour de France “Festina Affair” in 1998.

Nowadays, Festina is Spanish-owned and, last time I looked, their cycling-themed watches were being promoted by, in the company’s words, their “esteemed ambassador Richard Virenque”. Not a little ironic, perhaps.

Regards.

I wonder where Heuer got their inspiration for the 844-2 from?  514722237_(15).gif.0a50a690bb12519a31fbef40fe58aade.gif

they could at least have tried a different typeface for the bezel numerals, instead of just squashing the font lol

still, it's a Tag, so it will make you a better driver, obvs, etc ...
