Newbie with a Moeris mystery

Recommended Posts

Hi!

We sometimes find watches at boot sales, then want to find out about them...

We’ve got this Moeris, but can’t find anything similar in our searches

Here’s the front

Back of movement and case

Front of movement

0E9DB494-EFA5-4F1C-B885-140165C950D7

We do have the rest of the strap, just need to clip it back together, it’s “Expandro”, Stainless Steel.

The face and the movement look like they don’t go together?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Pretty confident that the case, movement (picture would confirm), dial, are contemporaneous & belong together.

Thanks for that, yes it does fit together well, but the square face looked a bit odd!

Presumably the inner case on the movement could come off, but I’m not confident as it looks like I’d have to remove the thumb wheel?

Would there be any more markings in there?

Any idea on the age? We can’t find anything that similar, so we’re thinking anything from 1920s to 1950s?

Would date this timepiece late 1930’s - 40’s ?

From the above image it would appear (?) that 1 screw (by the crown) is securing a dust cover & crown stem.  Unscrew this one & half turns, remove crown & cover, post an image of movement would be helpful.
