Tudor GMT Pepsi

Recommended Posts

My only concern with the modern Tudor range is they are all so thick.  I know I am used to thin vintage watches, but they all seem to be 14mm and there is no need really.

I would echo @scottswatches ... I flipped a BB because it laid flat and thick and did not suit my wrist ... and the GMT ( which I also tried on in the spring ) wears very thick. It just felt unrefined for me  for something that should be a very refined watch....

Hey all

Does anyone have an opinion on the Tudor GMT? I have been offered one at an AD and an considering it.

If you really like it, go for it. From my own experience it is comfortable to wear, but not for going about without shirt sleeves as it is big and clumsy as others have mentioned, so watch out when passing lamp posts.

GMT watches are pointless unless you actually travel a lot and need one - they make telling the time more difficult because the GMT hand is nearly always red and is far more prominent than the local time hand.  It should be grey or something.  So you can find it if you need it. Or just wear two watches.

BB58 is 11mm. The older ETAs were also thinner.

Agreed though that the GMT is far too slab sided and thick.

Great watch very comfortable to wear.  Time keeping is excellent not too heavy at all the only downside I found was the leather strap was not up to much but a quick switch and it worked out fine.  For the price without doubt the best around just ignore all the endless moaning about them.

I don't generally gravitate towards GMT watches but have owned a couple. But for me GMT function on a diver watch just looks wrong and interferes with the simplicity that a dive watch should be trying to deliver. GMT on an aviation watch yes , but Dive watch !?

Heritage line is messed up for me. Shield on the dial, rose on the crown. Big no for me.

Pelagos and North flag are different story. I like them.

All the best.
