Maybe when I put my watch back together I will take 31 photos with the sub-dial hands fitted only and showing each date, so I have a picture every day for my smartwatch !

Today's effort was just an experiment to see if I could photograph, crop and align a real watch dial to use as a background photo.  The dark hour position blobs are superimposed by the software, I left them switched on to check the registration.

I most like the refraction at the he edge of the screen like a 'real' watch!

The tide's coming in

I have my tidegraph set to Newhaven tide-times, where my dad was born.  It's a long way from here, and my dad passed earlier this year, but my pro-trek maintains that connection - through the ether!

I'll be using it this Christmas when we go up to Suffolk to see my dad. There's nothing worse than taking the kids crabbing and discovering the tide's out and the water's only 1cm deep :(

Quick change into my Motorola Adventurer, no Mercedes hands and the second hand hitting those markers!

Wonder if I can make it smooth ...

Is the date version better?

Another new one in …

I'm reserving overall judgement until I've worn it for a week but initial impressions are: wears bigger than 40mm, beautiful dial colour, bracelet so-so, timekeeping from the in-house MBP1000 movement seems to be pretty good so far, although the quick-set date is nowhere near the smoothness of a Seiko or ETA movement. I'll be keeping an eye on that as well.
