Allaine Owners Club

Recommended Posts

This could be the smallest club on TWF, but I think they made some decent, affordable watches and have an interesting history.

Rather battered Allaine 17J, badged Rubina, with hand-winding Arogno movement.

And for anyone that's interested in how the Allaine brand developed ...

I'll join you, if I may. Linen-effect dial, and driven by a 17j FE 140-A.

Regards.

I can add a couple of examples

Those are great. I'm trying to work out the second one, is that a contour on the dial?

Yes, closer view below, please forgive the fluff...

Never seen one like that (ignoring the fluff). Kind of odd design-wise, but very interesting.

Do you know what the movements are, especially the first one? I've been looking for a script version of the Allaine logo for a while and finally have one on its way to me.

There is now an entry for Allaine on Chronopedia, based on info supplied here...

https://chronopedia.club/ALLAINE

Anyone can create an account on Chronopedia and edit, amend, create new pages and links...

And, apparently, anyone can copy someone else's work without any credit to the author. :hmmm9uh:
