Today, a new one for me. From 1977, a Seiko 6138-3002.

This has the 6138B movement (21J).

Thanks to @mach 0.0013137 for first introducing me to the model. My photos don't really do it justice, but I really like the way the minute track is sculpted around the subdials. I don't normally go for chronographs, but this one really works for me with its clarity and symmetry.

(just noticed the day is wrong!)

Morning,

Today it’ll be this 1950s Lacorda with a 15j AS 1123/24, produced in France by German-born Eric Weil (uncle of Raymond Weil). He fled Germany in 1939 and joined the French Foreign Legion, which entitled him to French citizenry.

At its peak in the 1950s Lacorda is said to have had 10% of the French watch market before being assimilated into Fred Lip’s “Electra” conglomerate which only lasted from 1967 until bankruptcy in about 1970.

Regards.

Yes....another bad photo, and, the date is wrong. Work in progress.
